Coweta Charter Academy Teams

Beginning with the Spring 2017 Baseball season, SAAA has partnered with Coweta Charter Academy to bring the school's teams to SAAA. This partnership will allow students of Coweta Charter Academy to play together on a team and represent the Coweta Charter Academy Colts!

How do I register for the CCA Team?
You register the same way you would for SAAA (Click Here).  However, during the registration process you will be asked if you are wanting to play for the CCA team.  If you are wanting to play for CCA team, please select "yes" and complete the registration process.

What is different about the CCA team versus a SAAA team?
The CCA team will be formed at each age group. Each CCA team will wear a jersey in CCA's colors and all players must attend the CCA.  The CCA team will play other teams from the SAAA and other teams we interleague with, such as Newnan, Tyrone, Brooks, Fayette, Grantville, and Spalding County, in their respective Recreation Division.  SAAA will be responsible for schedule games at our ball park.

The games and teams will be managed through the SAAA website and you will have access to all of the same features and tools as the SAAA teams.

Where are practices held?
Practices for CCA teams will be held at a time determined by the coaches for the CCA teams and more than likely held at the CCA.  Some practices will be held at the Leroy Johnson Park depending on space and availability.

What is the cost to play on the CCA team?

The cost to play on the CCA team is the same as the cost of registering to play for SAAA.  The reason for cost is to cover the expense of uniforms, umpires, equipment, insurance, and other administrative costs.

How are CCA Teams selected?
As of right now we anticipate only one team at each age group which will be capped at 13 players per team.  Depending on the number of registrants, there may be an open tryout (TBD).

What if there are not enough players to form a CCA team at a particular age group, what happens?
If there are not enough players to form a CCA team at a particular age group, your child will be placed into the Rec. league draft. Therefore, by registering, you have preserved a spot in the Rec. program and your child will not be disadvantaged by his or her selection of wanting to play for the CCA team.

Need Volunteer Hours?

Sign up as a coach, assistant coach, or team mom and, if selected, you will have the opportunity to register your yearly volunteer hours.
