SOFTBALL:

The registration price will cover the cost of participation, jersey, socks, belt and visor for each player. Parents will need to provide pants, bat, glove, cleats, defense face mask and batting helmet for their player.

*****Defense Facemask and Batting Helmet with Facemask are required for Softball only*****

BASEBALL:

The registration price will cover the cost of participation, jersey, belt socks, and hat for each player. Players are responsible for game pants, batting helmet and other equipment to play.

NOTE FOR BOTH SOFTBALL AND BASEBALL:

Please note that SAAA tries to limit teams to allow for a better team experience. Smaller teams allow for each player to fully participate in practice, receive additional training and more time to participate in games. Therefore, registration is subject to close early if teams fill up. Please register early!!!

2024 - FALL BASEBALL

What Registration Covers:

Registration Covers: cost of participation, jersey, socks, belt and hat for each player.
Required Equipment Not Covered By Registration: pants, bat, glove, cleats, and batting helmet.
Optional Equipment: protective cup (except as catcher; catchers are required to use protective cup).

Note: At 14U and up: Pitchers are required to have plastic (molded) cleats or turf/tennis shoes to pitch on artificial mounds. Metal spikes are not allowed on pitching mounds or batting cages.

Who does SAAA play:

Depending on the number of teams, SAAA baseball teams may play teams from Fayette, Brooks, Newnan, Tyrone, Spalding County, Pike County, Sharpsburg and other local teams. Generally all interleague parks are within about 30 minutes from Leroy Johnson Park. Teams at 12U and older are likely to play more games outside of the park than younger age divisions. Age grounds 14U and 18U play an interleague schedule and will require some travel to local parks to play. 4U Tee Ball generally does not travel outside of the park. Age groups 6U to 10U may have games outside of the park depending on the number of teams registered.

Practice Locations:

Practices may be held at the Hunter Complex (about 8 minutes from Leroy Johnson Park).
Some teams will have practices at other locations depending on the coach. The coach will communicate alternative practice sites if they desire additional practices than the assigned practice slots.

Information Regarding Schedule:

Evaluations: August 4th through 9th (If held, information will be posted to website).
Practices Begin: August 10th (Practices are assigned to teams, actual first day of practice varies).
Tentative Opening Day: Mid-September 2024 (Actual Opening Day TBD).
No Games: October 4th - 7th (Coweta County Fall Break)
Last Day of Fall Season: November 22nd.

Game Schedule Information:

Games can be played any day of the week. Sundays are generally used for make up games. Game Schedule will be out by Labor Day Weekend.
