The Select/Competitive division combines the competition of travel baseball with the added value of regular scheduled games against other local teams for a fraction of the cost of associated with traditional travel baseball.  Often times, participating in independent baseball groups, involve a considerable expense to families.  Several of these programs may cost well over $1,200 for a single season.  Therefore, as a means to provide families with a cost effective alternative, we created a Select/Competitive division. 

To better accommodate players interested in the Select program (ages 6U through 16U), the Senoia Select Program will be formed during the fall baseball season.  Please disregard any notice stating that tryouts will be on August 12th.  The Select teams will be formed through a tryout of the players signed up to play in SAAA ball during the first couple of weeks of practice.  The coaches at each age group will conduct the tryouts for the their respective select teams.  Not all age groups will have a select team; however, it is our goal to have one at each age group.

The Select Program is still a pilot program, and the program’s purpose is to give those wanting to play more baseball and play at a more competitive level to have the opportunity without having the high costs of participating in an independent organization.

Senoia Select teams will play select games on Wednesday nights against outside travel/select ball teams.  If the Select team is formed at your age group, the Select team will play an additional 6 games over the course of the season. The Select team players will still play a rec. schedule with their assigned rec. team. Further, the players selected to the Select team will have additional practices as a unit as coordinated by the coaches of the team.

Please note that there may be some additional costs associated when participating on Select teams. 

Scheduling:  Scheduled games will likely be played on Wednesdays.  Practices will likely be held on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
